Transcription Services

Accurate Transcription, Coding, and Categorization

The transcription services staff at Insurers World performs a complete and accurate transcription of the adjuster’s original submission. The electronic documentation includes file administrative and assignment information as well as any special instructions from the adjuster.

We can receive information for transcription through the following: Fax, E-Mail, Insurers World Website, VIA2020 Contents Software, or the IW Hotline.

The IW Transcription Process:

1. All contents inventory information is given to the transcription services team, including the following:

    SOS Information
    Handwritten Lists
    Computer Generated Worksheets (Excel or Word)
    Audio Recordings (digital voice recorder or analog microcassette)
    Web Generated Submissions

2. The adjuster receives an email confirming that the new contents assignment is entering the Insurers World workflow.

3. The transcription service uses this information to complete a standard work form.

4. The items are categorized, coded, and matched to a depreciation category and corresponding annual rates of depreciation.

5. If provided, the following is captured:

    Original Price Paid
    Date of Original Purchase
    Insured’s Stated Value
    Place of Purchase
    Original Receipts
    Photographs
