The Evaluation Process:

  • As each new claim assignment enters triage and transcription, individual contents items are assigned to the appropriate IW Contents Evaluation Team queue.

  • Insurers World™ Contents Specialists conduct Like Kind and Quality (LKQ) research on those line items within their field of individual expertise.

  • The qualities and features of each claimed contents item are considered in the determination of appropriate LKQ to establish current replacement cost.

When establishing LKQ, features and qualitative differences of each original loss item are taken into consideration, ensuring an accurate LKQ and defensible replacement cost pricing.
Our Quality Assurance Team reviews the original assignment and performs a QC audit. They verify that the contents evaluation is well documented and provides accurate LKQ selections, as well as a replacement cost basis from which the adjuster can adjust and settle to a proper coverage C indemnity.
