Virtual Walk for Breast Cancer

From August 2nd through August 27th, Insurers World™ participated in a virtual walk for breast cancer. This walk was facilitated by the Gal to Gal foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for research and support of stage 4 breast cancer patients, in addition to granting the wishes of these cancer patients. Many patients dream of buying Christmas presents for their children, hosting a family reunion, or having a dream wedding – with the help of this foundation and its valued participants, these dreams are transformed into reality.

IW participants visited www.galtogalwalk.org and created a male or female virtual walker that was customized to their tastes. After registering their virtual walkers under the ‘Insurers World’ team name and making a $5 donation, participants were then encouraged to invite family and friends to join the walk as well. IW donated $25 to the Gal to Gal foundation for every 5 IW employees that participated. IW also awarded a prize to the employee who was able to get the most family or friends to sign up!
